FISCAL AND ECONOMIC RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT
November, 1995

IN PART, BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND IS A SAVINGS AND INVESTMENT PLAN DESIGNED TO PROMOTE BASEBALL AND INDEED, THE SOUL OF BASEBALL. THE FISCAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES OF BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND ARE LONG TERM. OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE IS THE ADHERENCE TO THE PRINCIPALS OF SAVING, INVESTING, AND PRESERVATION OF CAPITAL. UNLIKE GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, STATE GOVERNMENTS, AND MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENTS, BUY IT FOR A SONG WILL AVOID DEBT LIABILITIES AND INCUR LIABILITIES ONLY TO THE EXTENT THAT A POSITIVE NET WORTH OF THE ORGANIZATION IS MAINTAINED. ALL FUNDS DONATED DIRECTLY TO BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND (BUY IT FOR A SONG) ARE DEPOSITED INTO ACCOUNTS THAT MAXIMIZE RETURN ON INVESTMENT, THAT MAXIMIZATION BEING LIMITED ONLY BY SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC RESPONSIBILITIES TO THE COMMUNITY. DONATIONS BECOME THE EVER INCREASING CAPITAL BASE OF THE ORGANIZATION, A CAPITAL BASE THAT WILL BE PRESERVED UNTIL BUY IT FOR A SONG IS DISSOLVED OR PERPETUALLY, WHICH EVER TIME PERIOD IS LONGER.

A PORTION OF EARNINGS FROM BUY IT FOR A SONG WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND/OR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT PROMOTE BASEBALL. THE PORTION OF EARNINGS AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION ARE EARNINGS IN EXCESS OF 2.5 PERCENT PER YEAR OR TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF THE MOST RECENT THIRTEEN WEEK TREASURY BILL DISCOUNT RATE PUBLISHED BY THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL RESERVE, WHICHEVER OF THE TWO PRECEDING RATES IS LOWER. WHICHEVER OF THE TWO RATES OR COMBINATION OF RATES IS USED, DISTRIBUTIONS ARE SUBJECT TO THE CONDITION THAT BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND ALWAYS MAINTAINS A POSITIVE NET WORTH. FOR EXAMPLE, IGNORING CERTAIN COMPOUNDING AND POSSIBLE TAX LIABILITIES: IF $1,000.00 IN DONATIONS IS INVESTED IN A SAVINGS ACCOUNT AT A RATE OF 5.8 PERCENT PER YEAR, INCOME FROM THAT INVESTMENT AFTER ONE YEAR WOULD BE $58.00. INCOME FROM THE SAME INVESTMENT AT 2.5 PERCENT WOULD BE $25.00. $58.00 - $25.00 = $33.00 THIRTY-THREE DOLLARS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION. WITH 2.5% RETAINED EARNINGS, THE CAPITAL BASE WOULD HAVE INCREASED TO $1,025.00 AND WOULD BE REINVESTED IN THE SECOND YEAR. GIVEN THE SAME ASSUMPTIONS, THE SECOND YEAR WOULD RESULT IN THE FOLLOWING. INCOME @ 5.8 PERCENT = $59.45 INCOME @ 2.5 PERCENT = $25.625 AMOUNT AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION IN 2ND YEAR = $33.825 TOTAL DISTRIBUTIONS FOR THE TWO YEARS = $25.00 + 25.625 = $50.625. THE CAPITAL BASE FOR THE THIRD YEAR WOULD HAVE INCREASED TO $1,050.625. AND ON AND ON PERPETUALLY. THE THIRTEEN WEEK TREASURY BILL DISCOUNT RATE PUBLISHED BY THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL RESERVE IS USED TO ADJUST FOR RATE CHANGES OVER TIME AND REGIONAL DIFFERENCES IN SAVINGS RATES.

IN A PRACTICAL SENSE AND TO AVOID ACCOUNTING NIGHTMARES, THE ACTUAL RATE OF THE LOWEST RETURN ON ANY BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND SAVINGS ACCOUNT SHOULD BE USED, SO LONG AS IT EXCEEDS TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OF THE THIRTEEN WEEK TREASURY BILL DISCOUNT RATE PUBLISHED BY THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL RESERVE. IF IT DOESN'T, IT'S TIME TO MOVE THE MONEY SOMEPLACE ELSE. FOR PURPOSES OF REPORTING TO THE STATE OF WASHINGTON CHARITABLE SOLICITATIONS PROGRAM, THE PERCENT OF TOTAL REVENUE APPLIED TO THE CHARITABLE PURPOSE EQUALS: FIRST YEAR $33.00 / $1,000.00 = 3.3% SECOND YEAR $33.825 / $1,000.00 = 3.3825% CUMULATIVE FOR THE FIRST TWO YEARS $66.825 / $1,000.00 = 6.6825% EVENTUALLY, THE PERCENT OF TOTAL REVENUE APPLIED TO THE CHARITABLE PURPOSE WILL EXCEED 100%. THE IMPLIED ASSUMPTION IN CALCULATING THE "NEW CAPITAL BASE" IS THAT NO ADDITIONAL DONATIONS WERE MADE TO BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND.

HOW IS THE BUY IT FOR A SONG CAPITAL USED TO HELP FUND PROJECTS SUCH AS A PACIFIC NORTHWEST / STATE OF WASHINGTON / KING COUNTY / CITY OR SEATTLE PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL STADIUM? FOR PURPOSES OF EXAMPLE, THE $1,000.00 INITIAL CAPITAL BASE IS CONTINUED. REALISTICALLY, A MORE SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF MONEY, FOR EXAMPLE, $100,000.00 WOULD BE NECESSARY FOR THE FOLLOWING EXAMPLE TO BE VALID. BUT FOR PURPOSES OF UNDERSTANDING: ASSUME THAT SOME POLITICAL AUTHORITY, FOR EXAMPLE, KING COUNTY, ISSUES SMALL 30 YEAR BONDS AT AN ANNUAL RATE OF 5.00 PERCENT COMPOUNDED MONTHLY. ASSUME BUY IT FOR A SONG CAPITAL BASE FOR THE THIRD YEAR INCREASED TO $1,050.625. $50.625 IS RETURNED TO A SAVINGS ACCOUNT AT 2.5% PER YEAR. TO SATISFY THE 2.5% RETAINED EARNINGS REQUIREMENT NOTED ABOVE, NO FUNDS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION UNLESS THE INTEREST RATE EXCEEDED THE THIRTEEN WEEK TREASURY BILL FEDERAL RESERVE DISCOUNT RATE NOTED EARLIER. $500.00 IS INVESTED IN A 30 YEAR FISCAL INSTRUMENT AT 5.00% PER YEAR COMPOUNDED MONTHLY. HOLDING THE INSTRUMENT TO MATURITY ($4,467.74), $500 IS RETURNED TO THE BUY IT FOR A SONG CAPITAL BASE. HALF THE EARNINGS OR $1,983.87 IS RETURNED TO THE BUY IT FOR A SONG CAPITAL BASE TO SATISFY THE 2.5% RETAINED EARNING REQUIREMENT. AFTER THIRTY YEARS, THE BUY IT FOR A SONG CAPITAL BASE OF HAS INCREASED TO $500.00 + $1,983.87 EARNINGS = $2,483.87. $1,983.87, THE EARNINGS EXCEEDING THE 2.5% RETAINED EARNINGS REQUIREMENT, IS AVAILABLE TO DISTRIBUTION TO NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND/OR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT PROMOTE BASEBALL. $500.00 IS INVESTED IN A 30 YEAR KING COUNTY - PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT- BASEBALL STADIUM BOND AT 5.00% PER YEAR COMPOUNDED MONTHLY. $1,983.87, THE EARNINGS EXCEEDING THE 2.5% RETAINED EARNINGS REQUIREMENT, IS AVAILABLE TO DISTRIBUTION TO NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND/OR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT PROMOTE BASEBALL. SUMMING THE TWO BOND/ INVESTMENT INSTRUMENTS: AFTER THIRTY YEARS, THE BUY IT FOR A SONG CAPITAL BASE OF HAS INCREASED TO $2,483.87 X 2 = $4,967.74 AFTER THIRTY YEARS, EARNINGS AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION TO NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND/OR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT PROMOTE BASEBALL: $1,983.87 X 2 = $3,967.74 DEPENDING ON DISTRIBUTION CRITERIA, $3,967.74, COULD BE APPLIED AGAINST THE PRINCIPAL OF EXISTING PACIFIC NORTHWEST / STATE OF WASHINGTON / KING COUNTY / CITY OR SEATTLE STADIUM BONDS. (THIS ASSUMES THAT BONDS WERE ISSUED WITH APPROPRIATE CALL DATES AND FACE VALUE REDEMPTION CONDITIONS.) FOR PURPOSES OF REPORTING TO THE STATE OF WASHINGTON CHARITABLE SOLICITATIONS PROGRAM, THE PERCENT OF TOTAL REVENUE APPLIED TO THE CHARITABLE PURPOSE EQUALS: THIRTY-TWO YEARS $3,967.74 / $1,000.00 = 396.74% OH YEAH, AND THEN THERE IS THAT $50 AND CHANGE THAT WAS HYPOTHETICALLY INVESTED THIRTY YEARS AGO. IT IS REASONABLE TO ASSUME THAT OVER A THIRTY YEAR PERIOD, SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD WILL MAKE AN ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTION TO BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND. LIKE, MAYBE A LITTLE LEAGUER FROM SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, OR WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA, OR ASIA, OR SOUTH AMERICA WILL SEND IN A DOLLAR OR A YEN OR A PESO. (THAT BRINGS UP INTERNATIONAL BANKING AND INTERNATIONAL CURRENCY FLUCTUATIONS, TOPICS THAT CAN BE DISCUSSED IN MORE DETAIL LATER).

AND HOW WOULD A LITTLE BOY IN ASIA OR SOUTH AMERICA FIND OUT ABOUT BUY IT FOR A SONG? HEY BABY, BUY IT FOR A SONG MUSIC IS ALREADY ON THE INTERNET AND PROBABLY WILL INCLUDE MULTI-LINGUAL SONGS ON THE INTERNET IN THE FUTURE. COOL, EH? SO HOW MUCH MONEY WILL BE IN THIS ACCOUNT AFTER THIRTY YEARS AND AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION? WELL, THAT LITTLE LEAGUER CONTRIBUTION AND ANY ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS CREATE A CALCULATION NIGHTMARE INVOLVING WILD ASSUMPTIONS; COMPLEX MATHEMATICAL FUNCTIONS; AND STATISTICAL FORECASTING GYMNASTICS. SUFFICE IT TO SAY.......DON'T KNOW. BUT IT IS REASONABLE TO ASSUME THAT THERE WILL BE INFLATION OVER THE NEXT THIRTY YEARS. SO IF THAT LITTLE LEAGUER OR OTHER CONTRIBUTOR MAKES A DONATION IN SAY, 1997, IT IS LIKELY THAT THE RATE OF RETURN WILL INCREASE RELATIVE TO THE INCREASE IN INFLATION. THIS MEANS THE AMOUNT AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION INCREASES. AND IT IS REASONABLE TO ASSUME THAT BONDS FOR NEW STADIUM IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON WILL BE ISSUED BY SOME BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT IN 1997. MOREOVER, IT MIGHT BE POSSIBLE TO INVEST CONTRIBUTIONS RECEIVED IN SAY 2002, IN SUCH A WAY THAT FUNDS AVAILABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION CAN BE APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE PRINCIPAL OF GOVERNMENT ISSUED STADIUM BONDS, REDUCING THE PUBLIC DEBT BURDEN AND FREEING UP MONEY FOR OTHER THINGS LIKE PARKS WITH BASEBALL DIAMONDS OR OLD BASEBALL STADIUMS WITH ROOF PROBLEMS LIKE THE KINGDOME OR PUBLIC SCHOOLS WITH BASEBALL TEAMS. WHAT THIS REALLY IMPLIES IS THAT "REAL" 1997 BASE YEAR DOLLAR DEBT (OR EARLIER) CAN BE RETIRED WITH INFLATED 2002 DOLLARS OR INFLATED 2007 DOLLARS OR INFLATED 2017 DOLLARS. PRETTY COOL, EH? BUT FOR NOW, LET'S LEAVE THIS WORLD OF ABSTRACTION AND DEAL WITH: HARD CORE REALITY: HOW MUCH MONEY DO WE NEED? GOVERNMENT ENTITIES HAVE DETERMINED THAT A NEW PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL STADIUM IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON WILL COST $320 MILLION. HARD CORE REALITY: TALK'S CHEAP. WHERE'S THE MONEY? HARD CORE REALITY: HISTORY TELLS US THINGS, LIKE GOVERNMENT IS "INEFFICIENT" AND COST OVERRUNS OCCUR. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? THE PRIVATE SECTOR IS SUPPOSED TO BE "EFFICIENT" AND GOVERNMENT IS NOT THE PRIVATE SECTOR. SO HOW MUCH WILL THE COST OVERRUNS BE? LET'S BE EFFICIENT, NOT WASTE MONEY RESEARCHING THE QUESTION, AND CALL THE TOTAL COST FOR A BRAND NEW PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL STADIUM IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON A COOL $500 MILLION. HARD CORE REALITY: GIVEN LONG TERM INVESTMENT HISTORY, IT IS REASONABLE TO ASSUME A RATE OF RETURN OF 10% OVER A THIRTY YEAR PERIOD. ASSUMING MONEY IS INVESTED ON JANUARY 1, 1997, AND COMPOUNDED MONTHLY FOR 30 YEARS AT A RATE OF TEN PERCENT, HOW MUCH MONEY IS NEEDED TO GENERATE $320 MILLION? ANSWER: $16,131,146.73 (SIXTEEN MILLION, ONE HUNDRED THIRTY-ONE THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED FORTY-SIX DOLLARS AND SEVENTY THREE CENTS). GIVEN THE SAME COST OVERRUNS AND INVESTMENT ASSUMPTIONS, HOW MUCH MONEY IS NEEDED TO GENERATE $500 MILLION. ANSWER: $25,204,916.76 (TWENTY-FIVE MILLION, TWO HUNDRED FOUR THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED SIXTEEN DOLLARS AND SEVENTY SIX CENTS). HARD CORE REALITY: CAN $25,204,916.76 BE RAISED BY JANUARY 1, 1997 BY PRIVATE SOURCES IN; SEATTLE? KING COUNTY? THE STATE OF WASHINGTON? THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST? THE UNITED STATES? THE WORLD? ANSWER: ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE!

BACK TO BASIC REALITY.....BUY IT FOR A SONG..... BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND SAVES AND INVESTS AND SPENDS ONLY WHAT IT CAN AFFORD TO. THE BUY IT A FOR SONG CURRENT BUDGET FOR ADMINISTRATION IS ZERO AND THERE ARE NO PAID EMPLOYEES. BUY IT FOR A SONG PLANS TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. BUY IT FOR A SONG IS NOT ONE OF THOSE "FOR PROFIT NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS," ALTHOUGH, IF SOME MONETARILY POOR AND PUBLICLY UNKNOWN SONGWRITERS ASSOCIATED WITH BUY IT FOR A SONG MANAGE TO GET THEMSELVES RICH AND FAMOUS THROUGH THEIR OWN EFFORTS.....WELL......GOOD DEAL FOR THEM AND THANKS FOR LETTING BUY IT FOR A SONG USE YOUR CREATIVE EFFORTS TO PROMOTE BASEBALL. ANYWAY, UNLIKE THE BUDGET OF MANY GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS, THE BUY IT FOR A SONG BUDGET IS PERFECTLY BALANCED. THE BUDGET FOR EMPLOYEES AND ADMINISTRATION IS ZERO AND EXPENDITURES ARE ZERO. ACCOUNTING COSTS? JUST LOOK AT THE SAVINGS ACCOUNT BANK STATEMENT. THAT PRETTY MUCH COVERS IT. EVERYTHING IS ASSETS OR INCOME. PRETTY COOL, EH? GOVERNMENTS TEND TO TAX, BORROW AND SPEND. IT SEEMS NECESSARY FOR GOVERNMENT TO DO THIS IN ORDER TO BUILD A PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL STADIUM FOR THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST IN SEATTLE, KING COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON.

BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND ADVOCATES PAYING FOR THE STADIUM "CASH IN ADVANCE." IN FACT, THE NEW PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL STADIUM IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR "CASH IN ADVANCE" ON OCTOBER 17, 1997. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT A WHILE FOR THE MONEY. HOW LONG? WELL, TEN DOLLARS WAS DONATED AND IS EARNING AT A RATE OF 2.5%. COMPOUNDED MONTHLY OVER 8,303.64 PERIODS THIS WILL EQUAL $320 MILLION. THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT IS, YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT ABOUT 692 YEARS.

BUT DON'T WORRY, THEN A DIFFERENT PERSON CAME IN AND DONATED ANOTHER TEN DOLLARS. THAT SECOND TEN DOLLAR DONATION BOUGHT MORE THAN 27 YEARS. TWENTY DOLLARS, COMPOUNDED MONTHLY OVER 7,970.58 PERIODS WILL EQUAL $320 MILLION IN ROUGHLY 664 YEARS.

IS THAT A DEAL OR WHAT? I MEAN REALLY, THINK ABOUT IT. CAN YOU NAME ANOTHER ORGANIZATION WHERE YOU CAN BUY 27 YEARS FOR TEN BUCKS? I DON'T THINK SO. BUT YOU ARE ADVISED TO ACT QUICKLY. THE 27 YEARS FOR TEN BUCKS DEAL WAS A ONE TIME OFFER AND THE NEXT TEN BUCKS (WHICH MAY ALREADY BE IN THE ACCOUNT) BUYS FEWER YEARS. IN FACT, REMEMBER THAT $1,000.00 INVESTMENT EXAMPLE FROM BEFORE? WELL, THIS IS NO EXAMPLE. THIS IS REAL. ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS INVESTED AT 5.8% COMPOUNDED MONTHLY AMOUNTS TO $320 MILLION DOLLARS IN JUST OVER 219 YEARS.

THE OLDER THE ACCOUNT GETS, THE FEWER YEARS YOU CAN BUY AND, AS SOME OF US UNDERSTAND, THE OLDER YOU GET, THE MORE PRECIOUS THE YEARS.

OF COURSE IN LIFE, YOU CAN'T BUY YEARS.

CARE TO MAKE A DEPOSIT?

WAIT A MINUTE!

WHO GETS BUY IT FOR A SONG MONEY BESIDES THE NEW SEATTLE PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL STADIUM? WHAT ABOUT LITTLE LEAGUE? WHAT ABOUT PARKS AND SCHOOLS? AND THE KIDS IN YOUR EXAMPLE?

SO WHAT'S THE DEAL ANYWAY?

IS THIS A CON OR WHAT?

GREAT QUESTION FROM THE AUDIENCE. THANK YOU!

NO, THIS IS NOT A CON. THE "OR WHAT" PORTION OF THE QUESTION IS LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT TO ANSWER.

BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND WILL DISTRIBUTE EARNINGS ACCORDING TO THE FISCAL CRITERIA NOTED, CRITERIA OF FEDERAL, STATE AND MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENTS THAT IMPACT TAX AND LEGAL STATUS OF THE ORGANIZATION, AND FOLLOWING GENERAL CRITERIA. MORE SPECIFIC CRITERIA WILL BE DEVELOPED AS THE ORGANIZATION GROWS.

1). AN ORGANIZATIONS OR REGIONS NEED.

BY WAY OF EXAMPLE, IF THE LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD HAS BOTH HOME AND AWAY UNIFORMS, A STADIUM WITH DUGOUTS, AND IS SERVED LUNCH ON THE WAY TO GAMES IN AN AIR CONDITIONED BUS, YOUR PLATE IS FULL. DON'T EXPECT A LOT OF MONEY FROM BUY IT FOR A SONG, ALTHOUGH YOU MAY HEAR LOUD CHEERING FOR THE PLAYERS. BASEBALL -- THE GAME -- THE SOUL OF BASEBALL -- IS WHAT BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND PROMOTES, REMEMBER?

ON THE OTHER HAND, IF THE LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD DOESN'T HAVE A HOME BASE AND HAS ONLY FIRST AND SECOND BASE, BUY IT FOR A SONG WOULD AT LEAST TRY TO GET YOU THIRD BASE. THAT WAY, IF ONE OF THOSE LITTLE LEAGUERS WANTED TO GAMBLE AND STEAL THIRD WITH TWO OUTS, HE OR SHE COULD. GAMBLING IS PART OF THE GAME OF BASEBALL, BUT IT IS NOT ALWAYS THE BEST THING. JUST ASK SHOELESS JOE JACKSON. BUY IT FOR A SONG WOULD ALSO TRY TO SEND MONEY AND, SAFE OR OUT AT THIRD, YOU MAY HEAR LOUD CHEERING.

BASEBALL -- THE GAME -- THE SOUL OF BASEBALL -- IS WHAT BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND PROMOTES, WIN OR LOSE. WINNING AND LOSING ARE JUST PART OF THE GAME, REMEMBER?

2). INTENDED USE OF FUNDS INDICATED BY THE DONORS.

WHEN NOT LIMITED BY PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS SUCH AS NO VOLUNTEERS TO DO THE WORK OR MEASUREMENT PROBLEMS, DONATIONS CAN BE GROUPED INTO GENERAL CATEGORIES SUCH AS PARKS, SCHOOLS, LITTLE LEAGUE, KINGDOME, NEW SEATTLE PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL STADIUM, OTHER ORGANIZATION TYPES AND GENERAL CONTRIBUTIONS.

AN ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE TO MEET REASONABLE DONOR REQUESTS. FOR EXAMPLE, IF SOMEBODY SENDS IN $100,000.00 AND SAYS DONATE THIS TO THE KING COUNTY PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT IMMEDIATELY, BUY IT FOR A SONG WILL DEPOSIT THE FUNDS IN A BUY IT FOR A SONG ACCOUNT, USE THE MONEY AS COLLATERAL TO SECURE A LOAN IN AN AMOUNT THAT INSURES MAINTENANCE OF A POSITIVE NET WORTH AND SATISFIES THE RATE AND DISTRIBUTION CRITERIA NOTED EARLIER, AND DONATE THE MONEY TO THE KING COUNTY PUBLIC FACILITIES DISTRICT, SUBJECT TO THEIR APPROVAL.

MORE IMPORTANTLY, BUY IT FOR A SONG MIGHT ADVISE THE POTENTIAL DONOR TO CONTACT THE KING COUNTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTLY AND MAKE A DIRECT DONATION, ELIMINATING THE NEED TO CREATE AN UNNECESSARY LEVEL OF FISCAL BUREAUCRACY. SIMILARLY, IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH A SPECIFIC LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM OR ASSOCIATION, MAKE YOUR CONTRIBUTION DIRECTLY TO THE TEAM OR ASSOCIATION. LIKEWISE, MAKE DIRECT DONATIONS TO YOUR ALMA MATERS BASEBALL PROGRAM OR SPORTS DEPARTMENT. IS THIS A WILD PITCH OR WHAT? BUY IT FOR A SONG IS ONLY A VERY SMALL PART OF A MUCH LARGER COMMUNITY EFFORT TO PROMOTE BASEBALL.

3). REGIONAL SOURCE OF DONATIONS

IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT ALL DONATIONS COME FROM THE CITY OF SEATTLE, IT SEEMS REASONABLE TO RETURN MOST EARNINGS TO CITY OF SEATTLE NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS/AND OR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT PROMOTE BASEBALL. THIS WOULD INCLUDE SISTER CITY GOVERNMENT AGENCIES IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES THAT PROMOTE BASEBALL, SPECIFICALLY, KOBE, JAPAN.

BUY IT FOR A SONG ANTICIPATES THAT EARNINGS FROM KING COUNTY AND STATE OF WASHINGTON DONATIONS WILL PRIMARILY BE USED TO PROMOTE BASEBALL IN THOSE REGIONS. DONATIONS FROM NEIGHBORING REGIONS, SUCH AS IDAHO AND OREGON AND BRITISH COLUMBIA, WILL BE GIVEN CONSIDERATION WITH RESPECT TO WHERE, GEOGRAPHICALLY, BUY IT FOR A SONG EARNINGS ARE TO BE DISTRIBUTED. THE SAME WOULD BE TRUE FOR NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES AND CONTINENTS.

4). HISTORY OF AN ORGANIZATIONS OR REGIONS EFFORTS TO PROMOTE BASEBALL, INCLUDING CURRENT EMPHASIS AND EFFORTS.

LONG TERM SUPPORTERS OF BASEBALL WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN. THE ENERGY OF NEW AND EXUBERANT BASEBALL SUPPORTERS WILL BE FED.

5). DEMOGRAPHICS OF AN ORGANIZATION OR REGION.

THE WORLD IS A DIVERSE GROUP OF PEOPLE. SEATTLE IS A DIVERSE GROUP OF PEOPLE. BUY IT FOR A SONG WILL TAKE ACTIONS OF AN AFFIRMATIVE NATURE TO HELP INSURE THAT ALL PEOPLE WITH AN INCLINATION TO DO SO WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY, WATCH, AND/OR FEEL BASEBALL.

SO WHAT'S THE DEAL ANYWAY? SO FAR, THAT'S THE DEAL, EXCEPT FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT TERMS AND CONDITIONS WHICH FOLLOW:

PLEASE REMEMBER, IF YOU CANNOT SUPPORT BUY IT FOR A SONG WITH TIME, MONEY OR AN ENDORSEMENT, JUST CHEER FOR YOUR FAVORITE TEAM OR SING A BASEBALL SONG AND, IF YOUR LIKE, THAT CHEER OR SONG WILL MAKE YOU A PART OF THE BUY IT FOR A SONG BASEBALL STADIUM FUND MOVEMENT.
